Re: wiedererweckung einer falcone mit beiwagen
Hi Ernst, hope you are well.
I tried to send you a Message, but it didn't seem to want to send, so I'm resurrecting the thread!
I've recently joined the Forum, as I'll soon be the owner of a 1972 Nuovo Falcone, and it has a Sidecar with it (not yet fitted).
I've read through your write-up on the rebuild of your Sidecar Outfit, could you tell me a little more about the Front-End you fitted? I couldn't find any mention of what Bike the Wheel is from, and also the same for the Forks?
Many thanks

Re: wiedererweckung einer falcone mit beiwagen
Hello,
i used up to now two versions.
1. version:
inner tube falcone, lower end V65, inner parts (damper and spring) modified from any MG-1000 with seperate damper. clippers and front-wheel (spoke-version) from little V2-guzzis. discs from later models little V2-guzzis. experience: good braking, comfort is average, huge forces by riding with sidecar, shimmy-effect
2. version
front-fork and clippers and disks from suzuki GS550L, year 1980/1981, front wheel inner part from big V2-guzzi experience: average braking (improved by using sinter-pads), comfort is good, excellent with side-car, no shimmy-effect
that are only head-lines belonging to using different front-fork in falcone.

Re: wiedererweckung einer falcone mit beiwagen
Many thanks Ernst.
I'm thinking I may just build a set of Leading-Link Forks for it instead, and use another Wheel with a big single Disc Brake. I'd keep the original Front-End for if it ever goes back to solo use.
